Blues' netminder Caydon Edwards did everything he could to keep the Blues in the game, turning aside 23 shots in the first, 33 shots in the second, and all 23 shots he faced in the third.
The Bears came out of the gates flying Saturday night, with sharp passing and attacking the Blues through the neutral zone. They finally found the back of the net when Steve Wilson put one home with 2:51 remaining in the first, making the teddy bears fly onto the ice.
The Bears increased their lead to 4-0 during the course of the second period on goals from Tom Glomski, Tyler Gross, and Benton Deanovich.
Joe Rebedew made 27 saves in net.
The Bears final home game of the 2017-18 season is next Saturday, March 10 when the Bears host the Mosinee Papermakers at 8 PM.
