Bears Sweep Weekend, Outscore Opponents 13–2

Fond du Lac picked up a pair of decisive wins over the weekend, defeating De Pere 7-2 on the road before shutting out Eagle River 6-0 at home. The Bears combined for 13 goals, 100 shots, and strong goaltending from Justin Davidson.
The Fond du Lac Bears turned in a complete two-game performance over the weekend, earning a sweep with a 7–2 win at De Pere on Friday followed by a 6–0 shutout of Eagle River on Saturday. Fond du Lac combined for 13 goals while allowing just two, outshooting opponents 100–62 across the two games.
On Friday night in De Pere, the Bears built an early lead and steadily pulled away. Matt Letmanski opened the scoring with 9:49 remaining in the first period, and Malachi Buchholz followed just over a minute later to make it 2–0. De Pere responded late in the period, but Fond du Lac carried a 2–1 lead into the second.
The Bears extended the lead in the middle frame. Brady Beekman scored with 7:54 remaining, and after De Pere briefly cut the deficit back to one, Blake Spies added a late goal with 24 seconds left in the period to make it 4–2. Fond du Lac controlled play throughout the second, outshooting the Deacons 24–10.
Fond du Lac sealed the game in the third period with three more goals. Micah Buchholz scored with 17:14 remaining, Jarrett Buchholz added another at 6:02, and Malachi Buchholz capped the scoring with 2:59 left to secure the 7–2 win. The Bears finished with a 55–36 advantage in shots, while Justin Davidson made 34 saves on 36 shots.
The Bears carried that momentum into Saturday night, turning in a shutout performance against Eagle River. Fond du Lac scored three times in the first period, beginning with Jordan Foster at 15:21 remaining. Blake Spies followed at 14:41, and Nick Sirota added a shorthanded goal with 1:24 left to give the Bears a 3–0 lead after one.
Fond du Lac added three more in the second period to put the game out of reach. Dillon Fox scored with 17:06 remaining, Foster added his second of the night at 9:29, and Nolan McDermott found the net with 49 seconds left in the period. The Bears outshot Eagle River 35–20 through two periods and maintained control throughout.
The third period remained scoreless as Fond du Lac closed out the 6–0 win. The Bears finished with a 45–26 edge in shots, while Davidson stopped all 26 shots he faced to record the shutout.
Across the weekend, the Bears received balanced scoring throughout the lineup, with multiple players contributing multi-point performances. Davidson anchored both wins in net, turning aside 60 of 62 shots combined.
