Fond du Lac, WI - The Bears put up 51 shots on goal, but an early deficit was too much to overcome as the Bears fell 4-2 Saturday night to Fox Cities.
Saturday (L 4-2) vs. Fox Cities
Three goals in a seven-minute span in the first period gave the Ice Dogs a lead they wouldn't surrender in their victory. The Bears defense would lock things down, as the offense started to chip away at the deficit. Jordan Foster got the Bears on the board with a powerplay goal 6:49 into the second period. Terry Kalata got the Bears within one with his first tally of the game with less than a minute to go in the second. The Bears puck dominance would continue in the third, but Ice Dogs goaltender Drew Chaney stood tall, stopping chance after chance the Bears threw his way. The Ice Dogs sealed the game with an empty-netter.
