Marquette Comes to Town for First Time Since 2019-20 Season
2021-12-04The Fond du Lac Bears will host the Marquette Mutineers for the first time since the 2019-20 season tonight at Blue Line Family Ice Center.
Fond du Lac, WI - It's an early-season matchup of the top two teams in the Great Lakes Hockey League tonight as the Fond du Lac Bears host the Marquette Mutineers in the first matchup between these two teams since the 2019-20 season due to Covid-19.
Marquette entered the weekend 2-0-1-0, for five-point and good for first place in the GLHL standings. They played at West Bend Friday night. No score has yet been reported.
Meanwhile, the Bears also enter the game undefeated so far on the young season, entering with a 3-0 record overall, and 2-0 in the GLHL. The Bears last played November 13.
One factor in tonight's game could be that Marquette has had games each of the last two weekends, while the long layoff for the Bears could work in Marquette's favor. The Bears will be looking to get off to a quick start in tonight's matchup.
