Fond du Lac, WI - An exciting shootout victory Saturday night gave the Bears a weekend split in the second-last weekend of the regular season.
Friday (L 7-5) vs. Fox Cities Ice Dogs
Tied 4-4 entering the third period, the Ice Dogs scored three in the final frame, including an empty netter, to pull away with the 7-5 victory. Nick Monfils picked up a hat-trick through two periods and finished with a four-point night to lead the offense. The Bears outshot the Dogs 49-36 in the losing effort.
Saturday (W 6-5) vs. Mosinee Papermakers
In one of the most exciting games of the season in front of a ruckus crowd, the Bears, trailing by two in the third period, came back to tie the game, forcing overtime. When 65 minutes wasn't enough, the game was then decided in a shootout where the Beras would claim victory. Ryan Smet had two goals while Connor Martin, Robbie Coleman, and Brady Beekman each added one.

The Bears will close out the regular season March 25-26. The Bear's final home game of the season will be Friday in an exhibition contest with Hockey Factory. The team will then wrap up GLHL regular-season action Saturday at Fox Cities. The GLHL Tournament takes place April 1-3, also in Fox Cities.
