Weekend Recap: Bears Sweep Weekend to Start GLHL Play
2022-11-07The Bears got off to a hot start in Great Lakes Hockey League action, moving to 2-0 after a weekend sweep of Fox Cities and Mosinee.
Fond du Lac, WI - The offense was on fire over the weekend, scoring 16 goals as the Bears moved to 2-0 to start Great Lakes Hockey League play.
Friday (W 8-5) at Fox Cities
Trailing 3-1 after the first and 4-3 after the second, the Bears' offense came alive in the final 20 minutes to storm past the Ice Dogs and leave Appleton with an 8-5 victory.
Saturday (W 8-7) vs. Mosinee
Anthony Grebe's six-point night, including five goals, paced the Bears as they held off a late Mosinee rally to get their second win over the weekend, 8-7. Jordon Foster also had himself a night, scoring once and adding four helpers to help lead the offense.
