Weekend Recap: Bears Enter Thanksgiving Break Undefeated
2022-11-14The Bears enter the Thanksgiving break 4-0 overall, 3-0 in the GLHL after a 12-1 route of Portage Lake on Saturday.
Fond du Lac, WI - The offense continued to roll for the Bears in their only home game of the weekend Saturday.
Saturday (W 12-1) vs. Portage Lake
The Bears jumped in front early and never looked back, outshooting the Pioneers 44-24 in an early season matchup between the top two teams in the GLHL standings. Jordon Foster finished the night with two goals, three assists, and 14 penalty minutes to lead the Bears. Anthony Grebe had his second hat trick in as many games and added a helper for a four-point night. Brady Beekman, Blaine Caton, and Ryan Sabel also had four-point nights, with 15 of the 18 skates who suited up recording at least one point in the victory. Not to be outdone, goalie Justin Davidson shined bright when tested in net, stopping 23 of 24 shots faced. His only blemish came with 1:25 left in the second period to end the shutout bid.

The Bears enter the Thanksgiving break 4-0 overall, and 3-0 in the GLHL, good for first place. They will be off until December 3 when they travel to Marquette to face the Mutineers.
