Weekend Preview: Bears Return From Holiday Break Hungry for More

Fond du Lac, WI - It's Youth Night tonight as the Bears return from the holiday break and jump right back in to GLHL action against the Marquette Mutineers at Blue Line Family Ice Center.

It will also be the debut of the new Bears jerseys featuring the new logo. 

All kids will get into the game for free, and Bears shinny sticks will be given to the first 75 kids ages 12 and under. Kids will also receive tickets to enter in to win prizes, including a Zamboni ride between periods. Bears players will also toss t-shirts into the crowd during the first intermission. Youth Night is presented by Sabel Industrial and Sabel Mechanical.

The Bears enter tonight's game still a perfect 8-0 to start the season, 6-0 in the Great Lakes Hockey League. The Bears are tied for the league lead in wins with Portage Lake. The Pioneers currently sit in first place with 14 points, but have played three more games than the second-place Bears. 

The Bears opponent tonight, the Marquette Mutineers, have struggled to start the season. They enter tonight's game 1-4-1-0 with a -15 goal differential. The Mutineers lead the league in penalty minutes with 90.

The Bears defeated the Mutineers in their only other matchup this season, 8-4 in Marquette on December 3 at Lakeview Arena.
