Weekend Preview: Bears Back on Home Ice
2023-02-10The Bears get back on the home ice after an extended road-trip in January.
The Bears get back on home ice for the first time in over a month Friday as they welcome the De Pere Deacons to Blue Line Family Ice Center.
With one home game to start the new year, followed by four straight on the road to round out January, the Bears went 4-1, including 3-1 on the road, picking up victories over Marquette, Mosinee, Eagle River, and Calumet, before suffering their first loss of the season in Portage Lake.
This will be the second matchup of the season between the Bears and Deacons, with the Bears taking the first matchup 10-4 in De Pere on December 9.
Anthony Grebe leads the way for the Bears, accumulating 29 points in nine GLHL games, followed by Jordon Foster with 23 points in nine games, Robbie Coleman with 22 points in 11 games, and Matt Letmanski with 21 points in 8 games. The Bears have the highest goal differential in the GLHL, with a +41 differential entering the weekend.
