Bears Open Up New Season with Championship Expectations

Expectations are high once again this season for a Fond du Lac Bears team that fell one game shy of reaching the Great Lakes Hockey League Tournament championship, despite rolling thorugh the regular season and capturing the league's regular season championship. 

The the league's tournament now being hosted in Fond du Lac, and with many of last year's roster returning, expectations for this year are simple: Bring the GLHL championship to Fond du Lac once again.

The Bears get things started tonight against a foe they will see many times this season, the Fox Cities Ice Dogs. 

The Bears and Ice Dogs will meet oneanother seven times this season, six in GLHL play, and one exhibition (tonight). 

Tonight's game is the annual Keevin Cup game. It's also Trick or Treat on the Rink! All kids are invited onto the ice during the first intermission to trick-or-treat with Bears players. All kids in costume will be admitted free to the game.

Tav on the Ave in Fond du Lac is once again back as the presenting sponsor of the season. Free tickets to tonight's game are available at their location as well.
