Weekend Recap: Two More GLHL Wins for Fond du Lac

2024-01-08

The Bears picked up another two wins in the GLHL to remain near the top of the standings.

Friday (W 7-3) vs. Fox Cities

The Bears pushed their season record to 3-0 over Fox Cities with the 7-3 victory. Tom Glmoski and Ryan Smet each had three-point nights as the veterans led the Bears offense. After jumping out to a 5-1 lead after the second, the Ice Dogs attempted a come back, scoring two in the first half of the third period to get the deficit down to two, but Glomski and Joe Llaurado answered with goals late to put the game away. Alex Kruger grabbed the win in net.

Saturday (W 9-1) vs. Eagle River

Justin Davidson stopped 32 of 33 shots faced as the Bears cruised to a 9-1 victory over Eagle River, avenging an early season loss which has been the only belmish on the Bears record so far this season. 15 of 18 skaters who suited up for the Bears recorded at least one point, led by Dillon Fox who picked up the hat-trick plus an assist for a four-point night.
