Defending Kohlman Cup Champions Gear Up for Another Thrilling Season
Fond du Lac, WI – The Fond du Lac Bears are excited to announce their 2024-25 hockey schedule as they prepare to defend their title as the reigning Kohlman Cup Champions. The Bears' season kicks off with the annual Keevin Cup on Saturday, October 26, at 8:00 PM against the Fox Cities Ice Dogs.
As part of the season opener festivities, the Bears are also hosting the popular Trick or Treat on the Ice promotion. Kids who arrive at the game in their Halloween costumes will receive a free ticket, and during the first intermission, they'll have the chance to trick or treat on the ice with Bears players handing out candy. This family-friendly event is sure to make for a memorable start to the season.
The Bears' regular season will feature exciting matchups against familiar foes, and a couple of new rivals, as the Great Lakes Hockey League welcomed the Dane County Dairy Kings, Sun Prairie Killer Bees, and M&M Thunder to the league, while the Marquette Mutinners announced they were folding for the upcoming season. The Bears will play 28 games over the course of the regular season.
2024-25 Schedule Highlights:
- October 26: Home opener against Fox Cities (Keevin Cup & Trick or Treat on the Ice)
- November 2: GLHL opener on the road against Dane County
- November 8: First matchup with Sun Prairie
- December 7: First Kohlman Cup rematch with Portage Lake
- January 11: First matchup with Marinette/Menominee
- March 7-8: Bears head to Mansfield, Texas for a two-game exhibition
- March 22: Final regualr season game, against Mosinee
- March 27-30: League Tourney in Eagle River
The Bears are looking to build on last season’s success and continue their dominance in the Great Lakes Hockey League (GLHL). Season passes are now available for purchase at $80.
