The Bears wasted no time setting the tone, striking twice in the first period to jump out to a 2-0 lead. Nick Monfils opened the scoring at 12:59, putting the puck past Wolverines netminder Bruce Parisot. Just over two minutes later, Jordan Foster doubled the lead with his first goal of the game, assisted by Cody Ruplinger and Matt Letmanski.
The offensive barrage continued in the second period, where the Bears exploded for five goals. Brady Beekman got the scoring started at 17:34, finishing a setup from Nick Sirota and Dillon Fox. Foster followed with his second of the night less than a minute later, and despite two quick responses from Calumet’s Izaak Avery and Matt Yeo, the Bears regained control.
