Fond du Lac Bears Announce 2025-26 Season Schedule

Fond du Lac, WI – The Fond du Lac Bears are proud to unveil their 2025-26 hockey schedule as they look ahead to another exciting season in the Great Lakes Hockey League (GLHL). The Bears’ home slate begins with back-to-back exhibitions, starting Friday, October 17 at 7:30 PM against the Kenosha Knights, followed by a Saturday, November 1 clash with the Fox Cities Ice Dogs.

The regular season officially gets underway on Saturday, November 8 when the Bears host Fox Cities at 8:00 PM inside Blue Line Family Ice Center. 

New League Format & Overtime Rules

The GLHL will utilize a new three-division format for 2025. The Bears will compete in the South Division alongside the Fox Cities Ice Dogs and Sun Prairie Killer Bees. Division rivals will be played four times, while all other league teams appear on the schedule twice.

In addition, the league has approved a new overtime format to add even more excitement to close games:

• 4-on-4, 5-minute OT with teams switching ends

• If still tied, 3-on-3, 5-minute OT with original ends

• If still tied, a shootout will decide the winner

Schedule Highlights

• October 17 – Home exhibition opener vs Kenosha Knights

• November 8 – Regular season opener vs Fox Cities Ice Dogs

• November 28 & December 26 – Key division home games vs Sun Prairie Killer Bees

• January 23 – Home rematch with Portage Lake Pioneers

• March 6–7 – Two-game road exhibition at the Sin City Kings (Las Vegas, NV)

• March 21 – Final regular season home game vs Mosinee Papermakers

• March 27–29 – GLHL Tournament hosted by Portage Lake

Looking Ahead

The 2026 GLHL Tournament will feature all nine teams in a new pool-play format. Portage Lake will serve as host for the season-ending showcase, scheduled for the final weekend of March.
