The Fond du Lac Bears closed out Saturday night with an 8–5 win over the M&M Shamrocks, using a strong first period and a four-goal third to pull away. Fond du Lac dictated play for much of the night, finishing with a 54–33 advantage in shots and applying steady pressure across all three periods.
The Bears are now 4-2-1-0 and sit in third place in the GLHL with 9 points.
After M&M opened the scoring at 19:30 of the first period, the Bears answered quickly and decisively. Nick Monfils tied the game at 16:58, followed by goals from Tom Glomaki at 16:12 and Danny Roe at 11:37 to give Fond du Lac a 3–1 lead heading into the first intermission. Dillon Fox was a key driver early, factoring into each of the Bears’ first three goals.
The second period saw momentum swing briefly. Monfils added his second of the night at 16:10 to extend the lead, but the Shamrocks responded with three late goals—one unassisted and two in the final minute—to even the game at 4–4 entering the third period. Despite the score, Fond du Lac continued to generate offense, outshooting M&M 16–11 in the frame.
The Bears took control for good in the third period. After M&M briefly went ahead at 17:45, Monfils completed the hat trick at 13:04 to tie the game once again. Dillon Fox followed with a goal at 3:40, Roe added an unassisted tally at 1:24, and Fox sealed the win with another unassisted goal at 0:30. Fond du Lac fired 20 shots in the final period while limiting M&M to eight.
Alex Kruger went the distance in net for the Bears, stopping 28 of 33 shots. Offensively, Monfils led the way with three goals, while Fox finished with five points on two goals and three assists.
