Friday (W, 8-4) vs. De Pere

A six-goal outburst in the third period gave the Bears an 8-4 victory over the visiting Deacons.

Trailing 4-2 entering the third, the Bears lit the lamp 1:02 into the third to draw within one, then once again just 2:37 later to pull even. Four more goals in the final half of the period put the game away.

Parker Deanovich started in goal, stopping 20 of 24 shots on goal.

Offensively, Ryan Smet led the way with four helpers, followed by Bear's leading scorer James Goodfellow with three points, and Niles Owen chipping in three points from the blue line.

Saturday (W, 5-4 vs. Fox Cities

Ryan Smet's goal with 17 seconds remaining Saturday sent the home crowd into a frenzy as the Bears erased a one-goal deficit in the final six minutes to come back and win in regulation. 

Splendid goaltending by both starting netminders was the story through the first two periods, as Justin Demaa (Fond du Lac) and Mitch Kroll (Fox Cities) were stopping just about everything coming their way. The score entering the third was just 2-1. 

The offense opened up for both squads in the final period, as each team put three past the hot goaltenders. 

Demaa would go on to stop 33 shots for an .892 save percentage.

The Bears offense was spread out among the lineup, with four players picking up two points, and nine players registering at least one.

The Bears hit the road for the final time this regular season, traveling to De Pere for an 8 PM matchup with the Deacons Friday night, then over to West Bend to take on the Bombers Saturday night.
